Technical Information.
EaziTrack-SC V3 is a ‘Thin Client’ Windows application. The software itself is
installed on an application server and uses ‘Terminal Services’ to allow system
users to access and operate the software via a TCP/IP network and a web
browser.
There are two options for system implementation: 'EaziTrack Internet Hosted', or
'Client Hosted' application.
EaziTrack Internet Hosted option.
With the 'EaziTrack Internet Hosted' option, the software is installed on a
high specification dedicated EaziTrack server, optimised for the purpose, and
housed at a highly secure Data-Centre.
Our team manage all server related functions such as maintenance, upgrades, data
backup, and security. The Data-Centre itself is equiped with backup power
supplies, the latest Halon fire systems and is fully Air-Conditioned to ensure
the maximum possible security, reliability and therefore availability
of the server.
The overwhelming benefit of this approach is that the software can be accessed
and operated from any location that has broadband internet connectivity, and by
any ‘Internet equiped’ PC, even those of an older specification normally
considered as obsolete.
As a result, the overall cost of implementing the system is greatly reduced as
it is generally not neccessary to update hardware.
This scenario makes EaziTrack-SC ideal where in-house IT facilities/personnel
are limited, or in a ‘Dealer Group’ environment - as Head Office can
access the systems of each site just as easily as the individual dealer for
which the system was implemented.
Client Hosted option.
The 'Client Hosted' option places all responsibility for providing and
maintaining the applications server and operating system software with the
client. This may be beneficial in large groups with their own
Data-Centre and where a dedicated TCP/IP network between Dealer sites
already exists.
Our team will require external access to your server via a broadband connection
for support and configuration purposes, and will be more than happy to provide
advice and assistance to your IT personnel in the commissioning of a suitably
equiped system.
