Vehicle Availability.
At the heart of the system is the 'Vehicle Availability' form. This is where
reservations are made and provides easy navigation to the other system
functions.
Select the date range and vehicle type you want to check, and the colour-coded
availability for each vehicle is shown on the screen.
Its then a simple matter of using your mouse to select the 'start' and 'end'
dates/times required by the customer, clicking the 'reservation button to
enter a few customer details, and your done. Nobody else can make a reservation
for that vehicle during those times, making double-booking a thing of the past.
The system tracks the vehicles projected decommissioning as well,
preventing reservations from being made that exceed the decommission date or
mileage.

Vehicle Handover.
The 'Handover' form is where information such as current mileage, damage,
insurance ref, and driving license number is entered, and can be accessed
either by clicking the handover button on the main Availability form, or
directly from a reservations details page.
The system can also print a Customer Release and damage declaration form for the
customer to sign.
By selecting a date range, all reservations due out or back are shown, making it
extremely quick to process numerous customers one-after-the-other.

Reporting.
Two types of report are available from the system.
Booking Reports.
The booking report can be generated by 'Date range', 'Vehicle
Registration', and/or 'Customer Name' and can therefore be used to show
all bookings on a particuler day, all bookings during a selected period for a
specific vehicle, or numerous other purposes.
Vehicle Utilisation Reports.
This report can again be generated by 'Date range' or 'Vehicle' and provides
details of its utilisation in terms of both the days in which it was used,
and also the amount of time during those days that it was out.
This helps to determine not only the number of courtesy vehicles required,
but also enables more accurate management of the vehicles time and
customers accomodated.

Maintenance & Administration.
The System Maintenance section provides easy to use methods of adding
and amending reservation appointment times and vehicle details.
The Appointment Maintenance screen shows all the currently set times for each
weekday, allowing days to differ for maximum flexibility.
To add or alter a time is easily accomplished through the 'direct editing'
function of the appointments grid.
The Vehicle Maintenance section can not only be used to set-up new vehicles, but
provides the facility to temporarily take a vehicle out of service or alter its
decommissioning parameters.
Finally, there is a 'Change Password' facility to provide control of access to
the Maintenance system.
